Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Finishing Strong!!

Have I mentioned how much I love this guy!!!

Today, three weeks after our official graduation, he finished his final class!

After 13 long years of schooling his books are packed and he will be moving on!!

In fact today he received his final packet of information to sign and send out to Washington State.

I will miss him!!

The chaos he brings!!

The noise he instigates!!

The laughter of his strange sense of humor!!

The intensity in everything he does!!

The teasing to keep life light!!

The drive to perform athletically!!

The honor to do the right thing!!

The joy in life!!

The love of Christ that keeps all the above in perspective!!

I will miss him, but I know the world will be a better place because he is out there in it!!

Father God, I pray that you keep him and guide him every step of the way!!

Great thoughts!!!

When my Big Kids are off and about around the world (which at least 1 of them has been for the past 7 years, but usually more than 1 at a time) friends always ask, "Don't you miss them?"

My honest response, "Yes, I miss them. But, I am so very excited about all that the Lord is doing in them and through them, that that far outweighs my selfish desire to keep them close."

We will be excited to see all that the Lord has for Drew, as he heads to WSU in the fall. Yea for Washington State!!! (When you guys head up to visit, you'll have to let us know, so that we can head across the state to see you. With Josh over there, we'll always be looking for an excuse to go visit him.)

Love ya!

Laurel :)
