Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Fire Update

Thank you for all your prayers for our daughter, Danielle. A few have asked how she is doing, so I thought I would update you this way.

Danielle choose to leave the area for the weekend, just to get away from it all. She headed to San Diego with a friend and had a great weekend. When she returned on Sunday the evacuation order for her neighborhood had been changed to an evacuation warning and she was allowed back home. At this point I believe the fire is 50% contained. As for being sick, as soon as she got out of the area her stomach settled down and her headache went away. She thinks it was likely nerves from being in this situation again.

We would both like to thank you for your prayers, it is hard to be newly on your own away from home in this situation and hard to be a parent so far away from helping. It has been good for both of us to watch God move in so many 'Christian family members' all over to step in and physically help and also lift her up in prayer. Isn't that what the body should be!! We are thanking the Lord for his gracious provision!!

1 Corinthians 12:12 "For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ."
and on to verse 26 "And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice in it."
