Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Hiking and Cold Water

The Beautiful and Wild Rogue RiverOur beautiful Hannah, sporting her patriotic colors and her toothless grin.
Caleb, Hannah and David about 2 miles into our 4 mile hike.
Caleb showing off his great smile when we finally see the bridge (2 1/2 miles) in the distance.
David G. and Drew--pre-hike.
Drew and David drove to the end of the trail and hiked in from that end to meet us. I was getting a little worried when we were not meeting up with them on the trail. We finally found them on this bridge (only about a mile in) throwing these huge branches into the river on one side of the turbulent river and watching them come under the bridge! Ever read Winnie the Pooh? Think Pooh Sticks! They were also using these as swords and having sword fights!
The beautiful river we followed.
My wonderful older son drying off after he had just jumped into the freezing cold river!
Me with my beautiful younger children taking a break after running about a mile on the trail.
One of the awesome waterfalls though this volcanic gorge.
David trying to stay in the water long enough to get numb. Not to comfortable. David, David and Caleb freezing their legs off together!
I will never understand the male mind!
