Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

A Different View!

Caleb finished 2nd grade today!!
As his treat he was allowed to choose a new toy at the store.
We have limited the amount of war toys in our home and no military looking guns due to the early war and violence Caleb experienced.
But when your son comes up to you and asks for a gun "like Mike has" what can you say but "yes"! Remember, Mike is Erinn's boyfriend in the US Army! Caleb's point of reference has changed from fear to protection!!
So he has his gun and is busily shooting the tree, birds and bugs!

Even with 7 boys, we didn't do war toys until big brother was deployed to Iraq, with the U.S. Army. Then, what can you tell the little guys who's big brother is their hero?
