Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Liberian Adoption

As many of you know our adoption of Hannah and Caleb in November of 2005 was fast (8 months from application till arrival home) since that time adoptions in Liberia have exploded in number as the need was made known. Along with the wonderful increase in adoptions have come the problems. The government in Liberia, including President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, are trying to address these issues.

Pray that they may be able to deal with these issues in a timely manner, as many children wait for homes and many families here are waiting for the children that they have been matched with. Please pray for President Sirleaf and those in control of adoptions, that they would have a clear understanding of the issues and the correct laws and regulations will be put in place to protect these orphans and continue to move adoptions along.

"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world" James 1:27
