Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Thought for the Day

Martin Luther King, Jr.
I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

The time is always right to do what is right.

Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal.

The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I believe it is good to look back at history to learn from our mistakes and to learn from our triumphs. May we learn to have compassion on those whom are in need and may we learn to stand up for those whose voices can not be heard. Will this world ever be just? No, we must wait for the Lord's return for that. But we can make a difference in our own little corner where we have been called. Let us make that difference. Let us be willing vessels.

Deuteronomy 10:18 "He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing."
