Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Twilight Meet

You know the saying, "When it rains, it pours!"

Well last night it was literally and amazingly true!!!! At the Jim Robinson Twilight Invitational (named after David's and my former coach) it started raining about half way through the night meet, but it saved the spectacular downpour for the 3000M.
Not sure we have experienced a rain like that in a long time, especially one we had to be out in, but Drew was amazing to watch through it all!!
He raced to a 8:42.7 finish!

For a top time in the state at this moment!
The second and third place runners, Mark and Wilder, also posted marks in the state's top ten!

Congratulations son for your amazing performance on a terribly cold and wet night!!

Yesterday, Ben & I were looking for fun races to run, and I found a marathon & 1/2 marathon in Spokane. Now, the really cool thing about this marathon, is that they do a marathon RELAY (4 people share the 26 miles).

The race is in SPOKANE next fall. Ben wants to run it with Josh. He said, "Who else could run the relay with us?" I said, "Where is DREW going to be next fall?" Yes ... just down the road from Spokane.

So, my boys are cooking up plans to invite Drew to run with them.
