Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Running Around!

Wanted to get a quick update in on Drew's Running Around!

Last Saturday a few of the varsity team headed down to Sacramento Meet of Champions. Drew qualified for the night meet to run late and under the lights--always a great feeling! David and I were unable to attend, so this picture is actually from a few weeks ago.

Drew ran a 3200M, which is how California runs instead of the traditional 3000M. We are happy to say he finished 4th in a time of 9:17.56 which is a personal best for him!! Also his split for the 3000 mark would have matched his personal best! He went from 11th to 4th in the last 600M---who says Jordan's don't have speed!!!

Yesterday he decided to run in a dual meet in Eugene. He has been choosing not to run in the smaller meets to give his legs rest from racing and to focus on the hard training in between big meets. But he wanted to work on some speed work, so entered in the 800M. He ran a personal best of 1:58, bettering his previous best of 2:03 by 5 seconds!!!!

He is looking forward to racing in a very fast 1500M this weekend, he will also have another shot at the 800M with some real fast guys.

I am always amazed at how my young adults can juggle so much at once. This weekend they left at noon on Friday and returned home late Sunday. And last night did not get in till almost midnight. He is presently still pulling straight A's (though his college credit anatomy class is really stretching him) and he is also working 2 hours a day doing maintenance at the retirement center! Oh to have the energy again!!

So our lives look like this for the next few weekends
8th--big all day invitational
15th--graduation
22nd--districts
29th--state (God willing) and Danielle and Ryan will be home
June 5th--Wedding #1 and the out of town family comes for a month

---after that---I think I will take one day at a time!!!
