Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Guest Post By David

David was very excited to be running today--Here are his thoughts:

Somehow continuing to plug away with my running, thank you Lord. Did my third race in three weeks today, the Britt Firehouse Run. This is a handicapped 10K trail run. The race is sent out in waves, one minute apart. Women, young, old get a head start over the last group to go out, up to a 22 minute head start. I started twenty minutes into the run, so only two groups behind me. This race has three very large hill climbs and also steep down hills. I do relatively well going up. Coming down I tend to be more cautious as the pounding is hard on my arthritis. Anyway, I had good run. Ran 45:31, 7:25 miles and finished fourteenth overall. Probably passed about forty during the race, two passed me.
