Praising God I was able to do a 12 mile walk last evening!! My back held up great. This morning it is a little stiff, will get some ice on it soon. Looks like I may be able to enter that marathon after all. It is the day before my 41st birthday--What a way to celebrate.
Yesterday we also enjoyed 2 hours at the park, I had a long visit with a good adoptive mom friend, and we had the house overrun by all the guys and kids waiting for the ladies to get home from their walk! You know guys don't really WATCH the kids!! It is more just survival!
Oh yeah, Drew got his first recruiting calls yesterday. He was very excited to be called on day two of the recruiting process. Now begins the fun task of talking to coaches, looking over programs-academically, athletically and morally. We are praying for an abundance of wisdom in this decision for Drew. May God close the doors to those schools which would be a bad match for him and open wide those which would lead him to becoming the man God wants him to be!!!
And yes, I still have lots of pictures of the photo shoot I have not shared yet.
Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
