Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Sore Today!

Last night I got in an 18 mile walk!!! We finished the last 4 in the total darkness, not too fun. It is getting hard to get long walks in in the daylight, so I am glad it was the last one!! My feet are screaming today! My plantar facitis in my heels makes it feel as though you are walking on a nail!

So why am I doing this!!! I was hoping to raise some funds for Sarah's Covenant Houses. We have raised a little, but I am still praying for more. My feet would love to hear that more have joined up in this effort. You can read more here http://jdelightinginhim.blogspot.com/2009/08/new-adventure.html

Today we are off to Drew's first cross country race of the year in Yreka, California. Looking forward to seeing all the kids run, too bad it is supposed to be well over 100 degrees today on this course with very little shade. Don't expect to see fast times, but everyone has to deal with the heat.

Grandma will be heading out with David's cousin soon to head up early to her grandson's wedding. We will meet them there after the race. Hope no one notices that we are smelly and dirty after the race, as there will be no time to go home first. Drew will be missing the wedding altogether.

Have a wonderful weekend and remember to Delight in Him!!!
